Wayne-Westland Community Schools is hosting a 3v3 basketball tournament for grades 4-12 on May 11 at John Glenn High School!
- $25 per player
- Coed teams
- 4 players per team
- Half-court game format
- 3 game minimum
- Must be enrolled in Wayne-Westland Community Schools

What a great week we had here at Stevenson! Our students and staff came together to create a memorable and fun-filled week, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment at our Family Meetings yesterday. You will see from the pictures below that all the meetings were filled with celebrations and fun. We had a great time!
Another huge accomplishment for our school was finding out that we won the NWEA Winter Competition for the second year in a row. We get to keep the trophy here for another year. Congratulations to all students from Franklin, Adams, and Stevenson. Everyone did their absolute best and made all of us so proud of each and every one of them.
I hope this message finds you well. I am happy to share that we had a fantastic week with our students. As we approach March, designated as Reading Month, I would like to encourage you to join us in fostering a love for reading at home. Spending time reading together not only strengthens the bond between parents and children but also plays a crucial role in the academic and personal development of middle school-aged children.
Regular reading helps enhance vocabulary, comprehension, and critical thinking skills, which are essential for success in various subjects. Moreover, it instills a lifelong love for learning and opens up new worlds of imagination and knowledge. Your involvement in supporting Reading Month will contribute to creating a culture of literacy that extends beyond the classroom. Let's make March a month filled with shared stories, discussions, and the joy of reading. Together, we can inspire a passion for literature and learning in our students that will benefit them throughout their academic journey and beyond.
I hope you all had an enjoyable Valentine's Day! We certainly had a great week here at Stevenson as we had another Spirit Week with lots of our students participating each day. We also had a Pep Rally today and had such a great time! Big shout out goes to our Lighthouse Team members for planning and carrying out this very fun event for our school.
