Labor Day Waiver Hearing

This meeting is scheduled with the State of Michigan to discuss the Labor Day waiver which allows Wayne-Westland to begin school prior to Labor Day. According to Section 160 of the State School Aid Act (MCL 388.1760) requires the district to conduct a joint public hearing at a location within the district or intermediate school district. A joint public hearing must take place before the Labor Day waiver can be approved.
A copy of the waiver is stored and available for inspection and are kept on file at the Administration Building – 36745 Marquette, Westland, Michigan, 48185 – 734-419-2010.
