What is Schools of Choice?

Wayne-Westland Community Schools will offer district residents a Schools of Choice program for the 2020-2021 year for students in kindergarten through grade twelve. The Schools of Choice program provides parents the opportunity to move their child from one school to another within the boundaries of the school district PROVIDED there is room available in the school. Transportation to and from the school of choice must be provided by the parent or legal guardian.


  • 2019-2020 Second Semester Intra-County School of Choice Application
    Applications will be accepted in person only January 6, 2020, through January 17, 2020, to the Department of Instruction at the District’s Administrative Offices located at 36745 Marquette in Westland. Applications cannot be turned into the schools.

  • 2020-2021 In-District Schools of Choice applications for elementary school students, upper elementary students, middle school students, and high school students will be accepted in the Student Services at the Educational Center, 36745 Marquette Rd., Westland, between January 24, 2020 and March 2, 2020.
