Drop-off and Dismissal Procedures

Student Drop Off

Just a reminder, you can use the drop off line to drop off your student. The student should exit the car from the passenger side and the adult should stay in the car. There is no parking in the drop off line.

Another option is to park in a marked parking space. Then, you can walk your child to the door.

Please DO NOT drive through the parking lot and cut back into the drop off line.

Thank you for your help and for making sure our students arrive safely!

Student Dismissal Reminders

Students who ride the bus home are dismissed to the gym and walked out to the bus by an adult. Students who attend Champions or Bright Futures are dismissed to those programs in the building.

All other students are picked up by a parent/guardian from the classroom. Each teacher has communicated a dismissal location.

If there is a change for your child at the end of the day, please communicate this change to the teacher via Dojo and with the office by 2:30pm. This will give us plenty of time to alert the student and teacher (or guest teacher).

We will not dismiss students after 3:00pm unless it is an emergency.

I hope you had a nice weekend and are ready for the fall weather! Although it was warm last week, it will be much cooler this week with highs in the 50s. Please remember to send your child to school with a coat and hat. Students go outside for recess each day! I would also recommend writing your child's first and last name on a tag in case it gets lost. If you are in need of a coat or hat for your child, please contact the main office at 734-419-2600 or our Family Resource Center at 734-419-2709.

Good Afternoon,

We are excited to see you at Open House today (August 25th) from 4:00-5:00! Doors will unlock at 4:00 and you'll be able to meet your child's teacher, tour the school, etc. If you weren't able to see your teacher assignment on Parent Connection, we will have staff by the front door and in the office to assist you! Bus stop information and pick up/drop off times are also listed on Parent Connection.

I hope you and your family are well! Happy Mother's Day on Sunday!

We have a Family Science Night next Thursday, May 15th from 5:00-6:30pm. Paleo Joe will be at Edison to share information on dinosaurs and fossils!

Field Day is next Friday, May 16th! Make sure you child is dressed for the weather and ready for a fun day! We are in good shape for volunteers to help, but watch for any openings next week on Dojo.
