Parking Lot Expectations

Safety is our number 1 priority in the parking lot. Please adhere to these expectations so the parking lot can be as safe as possible. Please pack your patience and don't speed, We have had several close calls. We value your time and have tried to make arrival and dismissal as expedient as possible.

Cars should pull into the outside lane (closest to school) to pick up kids, and once they pick up their kid, pull to the left (inside lane) to leave. Please see image below.

Please do not park in the fire lane - which means do not get out of your car. The fire lane is the entire front loop.

Pull as close as possible to the curb when picking up a student. Students shouldn't be running in front of a line of traffic to get to their car.

When you have your kids, pull into the left lane.

When exiting, if you're in the right lane when you get to the exit, go right. If you're in the left lane, go left. There have been several near accidents at the exit.

Teach kids to get into the car on the passenger side so they’re not crossing behind or in front of other cars.

Please also ask kids to get into the car as quickly as possible.

In this month of November, we have so much to be thankful for, first being the wonderful families that make up the awesome Hicks community and second all of the wonderful support we receive! Restoring a Masterpiece

Under the guidance of our wonderful art teacher, Mrs. Peck, some of our first grade students are helping restore the space mural that used to hang near the old entrance doors. We are looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Hicks Homecoming

Our 2nd Annual Hicks Homecoming was a huge success! After a school wide vote, Ryder and Ty’Rah were voted Homecoming Prince and Princess! The cheerleaders rallied the crowd! Both football teams were cheered on by their fans! But probably, the best moment of all was meeting our new Hawks mascot…name coming soon! Every student got free books from our special book fair plus some were lucky enough to win snacks via the raffle! Again today, It’s a Great Day to be a Hawk!
