Wow, what an amazing week! This was an absolute blur—awesome progress all around! To sum it up, this week has been like the Fast and the Furious, we’ve been moving at lightning speed!

As we head toward the end of Quarter 3 next week, we’re also gearing up for locker clean-out so get ready.

Nice job, parents and students, making that adjustment with arrival and departure—our pick-up lines are smooth, and the drop-off lines are moving like a dream. Huge shout-out to Mr. Fedulchak, Ms. Davenport, Mr. Smorch and the ever incredible Ms. Sarah! You all keep the cafeteria in check while managing Lunch Recess Madness! Thank you!

Welcome to Week 2 of our school year! We are excited to see students settling into routines and continuing to show great behavior in our classrooms and hallways. Great Start Saints!

Here’s your weekend recap:

Michigan Wolverines opened their season with a 34–17 win over New Mexico.
Michigan State Spartans also came out strong, defeating Western Michigan 23–6.
The Detroit Tigers had a solid weekend, highlighted by a 5–0 shutout win over the Royals.

This week at SMS, our focus is on hallway behavior—making sure students are moving with purpose and getting to class on time. In addition, a reminder that our cell phone policy will officially go into effect on Tuesday. This Thursday we will have our first class meeting in the cafeteria. Oh and Friday is Rock your Crocks Day! So get ready to rock you Crocks into the weekend!

-Open house event that's taking place from 5:30 to 7:00 pm on Monday. Students can come by get a hard copy of their schedule. The building will be open and teachers will be here so you can stop by and say hello!

-1st day of school is Tuesday August 26th. It will be a half day

-Pictures Day is Wednesday (info in the weekly SMORE)

This is the last newsletter of the school year! Can you believe it?

As we wrap up another incredible year at Stevenson Middle School, we can’t help but reflect on all the learning, growing, and laughter that filled our hallways. From the first day of school jitters to the final round of applause at our year-end events, our students have shown resilience, curiosity, and heart. They've tackled challenges, stretched their thinking, discovered new passions, and built meaningful relationships along the way. Whether it was diving into engaging classroom projects, cheering on classmates at games, or laughing together during spirit days, this year was filled with moments that mattered.

Happy June!

What a great week! We took a fun-filled trip to Cedar Point this week--it was chilly but students had a great time! This Friday was our 8th Grade Dance and everyone looked AMAZING. It was a great time. Thank you to our Lighthouse team, Mrs. Oberski and Mrs. Vasiloff-Ebbitt for setting up and to all the staff and parents who volunteered their time to attend!

This week was short but BUSY! There was a wonderful art and music concert on Tuesday evening. We had a fantastic time celebrating our 8th grade students at the Awards Ceremony on Wednesday. Thank you to the over 700 families and friends that attended! It was great to see so many people come out to celebrate our students.

There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 26! I hope you all have a fantastic long weekend.

It was a busy week at SMS! We finally finished testing--hooray! It was wonderful to see how many students showed growth by either meeting or exceeding their goal! Congrats to all of our students!

Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, May 23rd and Monday, May 26th. I hope you all enjoy the long Memorial Day weekend!

I can't believe it's MAY! This month is going to be jam-packed as we get ready to wrap up the school year.

This week we wrapped up our state M-Step testing. We only have to complete the NWEA tests and we'll be able to kiss testing season goodbye!

Hello Stevenson Families!

We had a great week last week! Our 8th graders came in on Tuesday to complete the PSAT 8 and they did an amazing job. We can't wait to see their results! Our RAPS students went to the skating rink to celebrate their achievements and had a blast.

Ms. Mandrelle's students created a lot of awesome projects this week! Look at these amazing CO2 cars they created in her Transportation Tech class!

Report cards for 3rd quarter will be available on ParentConnect on Monday, April 14th.

This Thursday, April 17 is our RAPS party for eligible students. To be eligible, students must have:

passed all of their classes in the 3rd quarter
zero suspensions in the 3rd quarter
4 or fewer tardies in the 3rd quarter

As a reminder, 3rd quarter was from Thursday, January 23 to Friday, April 4. Eligible students will be going skating to celebrate their accomplishments!

This week we had a group of students visit Lawrence Tech University. All students earned a half price summer program at Lawrence Tech University just by attending the program today.
