Greetings Members of the Community,
My name is Kent`e Rosser and I am the new Principal of Wayne-Westland Innovative Academy, formerly Wayne-Westland Community High School. As we prepare to start the 2022/2023 school year, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
For the past four years, I have served as the Principal of Franklin Middle School, in Wayne-Westland Community Schools District. I am a dedicated leader with over twelve years of building level administrative experience. I love to inspire students and staff members to be creative and engage in learning that is meaningful and impactful. I embrace positivity and believe that a school is only successful when we work as a team to support and encourage one another.

We have been working throughout the summer to bring a diverse set of educational options to our students. This year, students will be able to engage in their school work by utilizing a multitude of different platforms. In addition to our traditional courses, we will offer options such as Virtual Learning, The WAY Program, Tooling U/SME, and Cisco.
Access to these various learning platforms will allow students to choose an educational format that is tailored to fit their learning style.
Beginning the week of August 16, 2022, each student will have the opportunity to meet with their counselor and a member of the administrative team to create a customized plan that is designed to specifically address their needs as a learner. At that time, we can provide an overview of how each of these learning tracks can add value to your child's educational experience.

The upcoming Cash for Grads event will be held at John Glenn High School on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. This special scholarship evening is designed to help our graduating seniors secure financial aid for their higher education journey. Students have an opportunity to win scholarships totaling up to $5000.00! This is a senior event and we ask seniors only and their parents/guardian to attend.
