Wayne-Westland Early College
Wayne-Westland Early College is a rigorous program that offers high school students an opportunity to earn college credit hours, industry certification, and an associate degree while still in high school.
Wayne-Westland Community Schools District has partnered with Wayne County Community College District to combine the high-school and college experience. Upon completion of this five year program, students will graduate with their high school diploma and up to 60 credit hours, potentially earning their associate degree.
This program is offered at no cost to Wayne-Westland Community Schools District students.

Enrollment Information & Important Dates
Application process
- Students complete application form with essay
- Students provide the reference link to two people to provide a recommendation
- Students participate in a 10-15 minute interview
Application TImeline
- Application window opens April 20, 2022
- Application window closes May 20, 2022
- Interviews will occur the week on May 23 and May 30, 2022
Acceptance
- Decisions will be shared June 15, 2022
- Students will have until June 30, 2022 to confirm their plan to attend
Summer Activities
- Decision Day, in which students and families will finalize paperwork and course schedules, will occur on July 13, 2022
- Summer Success Seminar, a required college readiness event for students, will occur on August 1 and 2, 2022
