Greetings Elliott Families!

We had a great Kindergarten Kickstart with many new families as well as current families joining us as we welcomed future Elliott Eagles to the Elliott family. We had a great turn out of community partners including EMU Bright Futures, Champions Before & After School Care, Inkster-Westland Urgent Care, National Kidney Foundation with the PE-NUT program and our very own PTO. We even had a surprise visit from and Eagle to meet our future students.

As we move into our last week prior to Spring Break we several guest readers and activities planned for our students and Elliott community. We are looking to our Elliott families joining us on Wednesday, March 20th for our Family Book Bingo night from 5:30pm-6:30pm.

The PTO will have their next meeting at 3:45pm on Friday, March 22nd. Parents will enter the doors connected to our cafeteria which is located next to our parent parking and our 3rd/4th grade door entrance.

Lets have a great week.

Greetings Elliott Families!

As we get ready to start the week of February 26th our students in grades 3-5 will get the opportunity to have the author John Wells visit our school for an assembly. Flyers went home before break for students who are interested in purchasing a book from the author. He will have limited quantities the day of the assembly to sign for students who have purchased prior or on the day of the assembly. The book sale will continue after the assembly and end on Wednesday, March 6th. All money must be turned in with the order form to your child's classroom teacher.

Elliott will be one of the schools in the district that will be used as a polling location on Tuesday, February 27th. As a result our building will be virtual for this day. Classroom teachers will be reaching out through Dojo with what the learning day will look like. Student supplies/work for Tuesday will be given to students on Monday, February 26th. Please make sure to check your child's dojo for the grade levels virtual learning plan for this day. Champions Before and After School programs will offer full-day care for enrolled students at Elliott. You can contact Ms. Megan with Champions Before and After School program at 734-326-0986 if you have further questions related to child care.

Lets have a great week.

Greetings Elliott Families!

This week we have several activities planned for our students. This week students will get to visit our PBIS school store to use their DOJO dollars they earned for the month of January. Our 5th grade students will also have an opportunity to visit WMHS for a band/choir event on Wednesday this week. Look at our important updates for more events that are taking place at Elliott.

Please make sure that when dropping students off at the school that you are not entering the bus loop or blocking the buses from getting in/out to drop students off. Parents have been stopping in the middle of the road to drop off which has caused safety concerns. Due to recent concerns at arrival and dismissal the Westland Police Department has been present to address concerns of traffic safety as well as individuals parking in zones not designated for parking. We want to ensure a safe arrival and dismissal for our Elliott community.
