Hello Hamilton Families,

I have a serious issue to share with you, this year we have had a few incidents where parents have confronted other students or parents regarding an issue with their child. This will not be tolerated at Hamilton. If you or your child have an issue or concern with another child or adult you need to see your child's teacher or come to me. Any adult that is confrontational, shows aggression or violence to another child or adult could be banned from the property and the authorities contacted. If you have any issues concerning your child please contact me right away. You can call the office to set up an appointment or reach out on Dojo.

Hello Hamilton Families!

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful break and are ready to get back to the great work we have been doing this year. We have a busy spring ahead of us as we continue to work through our curriculum and build on our academics, social and emotion strengths! Our recent NWEA assessments are showing some really wonderful growth, the home-school partnership is a big part of this growth. Thank you for that support and I ask that you continue to make sure students are at school on time for the full day, you keep up to date on Dojo postings and review work that comes home with your child. Working as a team is the best way to support your child in achieving their goals!

Hello Hamilton Families!

Well it was great to make it to school 4 days last week. Hopefully mother nature cooperates and we can make it all 5 days this week! Maybe the lions can bring home a win and some of that warmer weather!

Tuesday is an election day and school will be in session. The voting will take place in the gym and there will be no access to the students from the gym during that time. There will also be security in the building provided by the election committee. As always safety is our number one priority.

Hello Hamilton Families!

WOW well last week was a pretty easy week! Now that we had all that extra time to rest and relax it is time for us to get back into the swing of things a school. We have begun our NWEA testing and we will continue with our normal instructional schedule. Please make sure students are at school even when it is cold. The school is warm and the best place to be in inside learning on a cold day!

Due to our days off for the cold weather our 5th grade field trip to the High School has been rescheduled for 2/7.

Hello Hamilton Families!

Welcome to winter in Michigan!! When weather like this hits you know there is a good possibility of school cancelations. When school is canceled the decision is made by the superintendent, then shared out with everyone. A robo call will go to the phone number listed on each students profile. I will post it on class Dojo, it will be listed on the district website, district Facebook page and local news websites. There is no need to message me directly because If it is not posted that means I have no additional information. Here is a link to a letter that was sent out earlier this year regarding school closings.

With the Michigan winter storms people often lose power and keep their child at home. Please avoid this as school is the best place for students to be on any school day, but especially when you don't have power at home. At school they can stay warm, have breakfast and lunch and not miss a day of learning. Improved attendance is our goal this year!

It is a good idea to dress students in layers and make sure they have dry shoes to change into once they are in class. If your child needs a hat or gloves please reach out to me or call the office.
