Cash for Grads - Wonderful Opportunity for our Seniors
The upcoming Cash for Grads event will be held at John Glenn High School on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. This special scholarship evening is designed to help our graduating seniors secure financial aid for their higher education journey. Students have an opportunity to win scholarships totaling up to $5000.00! This is a senior event and we ask seniors only and their parents/guardian to attend.

Soaring Stripes 3 V 3 Basketball Tournament
Wayne-Westland Community Schools is hosting a 3v3 basketball tournament for grades 4-12 on May 11 at John Glenn High School!
- $25 per player
- Coed teams
- 4 players per team
- Half-court game format
- 3 game minimum
- Must be enrolled in Wayne-Westland Community Schools

Standardized Testing Information
Dear Wayne-Westland Community Schools Parents and Guardians,
In April, eleventh-grade students will take the Michigan Merit Examination (MME). The MME consists of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), the state-administered college assessment, and the ACT Work Keys for College and Career Readiness. Additionally, the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP) assesses students for science and social studies.
The ninth and tenth-grade students will take the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) assessment for College and Career Readiness.

Greetings Wayne-Westland Families,
With less than two months left in the school year, our students are still learning, growing, and thriving. As our high school seniors prepare to conclude their K-12 experience with cherished traditions and celebrations, we look forward to welcoming a new group of Young 5s and kindergarten students next fall. Spring marks a significant and memorable time in our school district.
Care Solace Article: Sexual Assault Awareness Month
This April, as we join hands with communities nationwide during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, acknowledging that countless individuals carry the weight of this experience.
The John Glenn Theater Department Presents: "Grease"
Friday, April 19 and Saturday April 20, 2024 at 7:00 pm.
Saturday, April 20 and Sunday April 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
In the John Glenn Auditorium - Doors open at 1:30 pm (for 2 pm shows) and 6:30 pm (for 7 pm shows).
Tickets: $5 for staff, students and kids. $10 for adults.
