Our students use the latest technology, learn foreign language and are immersed in a core curriculum that motivates and challenges them. In addition, we offer Talented and Gifted classrooms for advanced K-6 grade students and advanced placement classes in the high schools. Students may also choose from a variety of music and art classes. Our Career Technical Center has over 20 skilled trade and professional classes including Construction Technology, EMT, Culinary Arts, Health Occupations, Graphic Design and Automotive Technology.
Tinkham Educational Center (TEC) Campus
High School Completion Program
Wayne-Westland Community Schools announces enrollment for students 16 to 19 years old in its restructured Tinkham Educational Center (TEC) Campus. Students seeking a high school diploma who have dropped out of the regular traditional high school program, or have fallen behind in their efforts to earn a high school diploma are welcome to enroll.
Wayne-Westland Community Schools’ TEC Center will be offering a blended program of in-class and online learning to best meet the needs of students seeking a high school diploma. Students will be offered full time enrollment in credit recovery classes that best fit their personal needs and goals.
Non-Resident School of Choice Registration Process
All school of choice applicants must fill out an application and be residents of Wayne county. Parents/Guardians must complete the Intra County Schools of Choice application and deliver the completed application in person by AUGUST 26, 2016 to Wayne-Westland Community Schools: 36745 Marquette, Westland, MI 48185.
