Wayne-Westland Elementary Schools Breakfast in the Classroom Instructions
Breakfast Cooler is Delivered to the Classroom. Coolers will include 4 Components:
Milk
Fruit
Fruit
Breakfast Entrée
- Staff or Students unpack all Meal Components. The four meal components should be separated so they can choose which three they would like.
Students arrive and select Breakfast Components. Students must at a minimum select three of the four components available. One of the three they select must be a fruit, we always offer two fruits so if they select three things they will always have at least one fruit.
Staff completes Breakfast Count on Class Roster/Breakfast Roster. After everyone has a chance to grab breakfast a staff member will then mark off which students received breakfast. Only students who take a complete meal (Minimum of 3 Components) can be counted for breakfast. If students have taken an incomplete breakfast please have them take the additional items necessary for a complete meal at that time.
Leftovers are placed back in the Cooler and returned to the kitchen with Breakfast Paperwork and Lunch Order Form. Leftovers would be components not taken as a part of a student's meals. Items cannot be used to complete a breakfast and sent back to the kitchen. If you are in a situation where you don’t receive the proper components please let the kitchen know right away so they can supply the correct components.
