Wayne-Westland Early College

Wayne-Westland Early CollegeWayne-Westland Early College is a rigorous program that offers high school students an opportunity to earn college credit hours, industry certification, and an associate degree while still in high school.

Wayne-Westland Community Schools District has partnered with Wayne County Community College District to combine the high-school and college experience. Upon completion of this five year program, students will graduate with their high school diploma and up to 60 credit hours, potentially earning their associate degree.

This program is offered at no cost to Wayne-Westland Community Schools District students.

Enrollment Information and Important Dates

The application window for Fall 2023 is open and will close on February 14, 2023.

  • November 15, 2022 - 6 p.m., William D. Ford Career-Technical Center 
  • November 29, 2022 - 6 p.m., via Zoom 
  • January 17, 2023 - 6 p.m., William D. Ford Career-Technical Center
  • January 24, 2023 - 6 p.m.,  via Zoom 
     

Application process
 

  • Students complete an Early College Student Application with an essay
  • Students provide two people with the Early College Recommendation link for a reference
  • Students participate in a 10-15 minute interview
