Parking Lot Procedures

As we continue our commitment to providing a safe and efficient environment for our students, I would like to share an important update regarding our parking lot procedures. The start and end of the school day are busy times, and following these protocols is essential to ensuring the safety of every child, staff member, and visitor on our campus.

Smooth Traffic and Maximum Safety

To maintain a smooth flow of traffic and maximize safety, we ask that all families adhere to the following:

• Designated Bus Areas

The small lot nearest Gloria Street is strictly reserved for school buses. Bus drivers require significant space to navigate safely, and additional passenger vehicles in this area create a high-risk environment for pedestrians. Please use the large lot for all vehicle-based arrivals and departures.

• Efficiency in the Loading Loop

When using the parent loop, please pull your vehicle all the way forward to the end of the curb before stopping. This allows us to load and unload several cars simultaneously, significantly reducing wait times for everyone. We also ask that drivers remain in their vehicles; if your student requires assistance with doors or buckles, we encourage practicing these tasks at home to foster their independence.

• Traffic Flow and Exiting

When you are ready to leave the curb, please choose the appropriate lane: the far-left lane for looping back through or the far-right lane to exit. To prevent gridlock and ensure neighborhood safety, all vehicles must turn right when exiting onto Gloria Street. Furthermore, please avoid parking or unloading on Gloria Street, as visibility is poor and it places children near active traffic.

• Pedestrian Safety

For those walking to school, please utilize the crosswalks at the stop signs to cross Gloria Street. If you prefer to park and walk your child to the building, we recommend using Myrtle Street or Fourth Street.

We understand that dismissal can be a busy time, but by following these collective rules, we can ensure our lot runs quickly and, most importantly, safely every day.
