We have had a great start to the new school year. Our students were able to open lockers, find their classrooms, navigate the technology, and acclimate themselves to what is going to be a great year. Thank all of you for your support and guidance. Remember, we are Wayne-Westland CommUNITY Schools and will work together to provide our students with a GREAT future.
This event is for Wayne-Westland parents and legal guardians. Wayne and Westland Youth Services will join our Student Services Department to present our new K-12 attendance policy and provide parents with support and guidance to help them keep their student’s attendance on track.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office is encouraging all parents/guardians to have a conversation with your school-age children regarding an issue that has become all too prevalent, namely threats to commit school violence.

We can't begin to tell you the excitement that filled our classrooms today as we returned to school. I had the honor and privilege of walking around many of our schools and seeing our students back in class, learning, participating, and doing what they should be doing. I know you - our families - must also be excited to get our students back in our schools because we all genuinely believe that's where they belong. That's where learning takes place: in our schools and classrooms.
