Welcome to October!! I sure do enjoy the crisp air and sunny days! It has been a perfect start to fall! With our cool mornings and warm afternoons please help your child to dress appropriately.
Please remember that when dropping your child off in front of the building you must pull to the curb to let your child out. It is very important that you pull all the way to the curb if you are letting your child out. If you are getting out of your vehicle you must pull into a parking spot then cross your child across the parking lot.
We still have a few openings in our Bright Futures after school free program. The program offers many enrichment programs and activities. If you are interested please email Mr Max at mfoehrin@emich.edu
Count Day is when all public schools in Michigan tally the number of students attending their schools. Count days are important because they determine the amount of state aid each district will receive. In Michigan, schools receive funds based on a per-pupil basis for K-12 students, which is $9,150 for each public school student. Count Day will be on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Please support school funding by ensuring your child attends school on that day.
On Halloween we will enjoy our Halloween parade once again this year. In order to make this event special we are looking for donations of candy to pass out during the parade. If you are able to donate some candy we greatly appreciate it. You can send it with your child or drop it at the office.
On Tuesdays we have Domino's pizza. If your child would like an extra slice of pizza it is $2 and must be turned in first thing in the morning. When sending in extra slice money with your child, please make sure to put it in a bag or envelop with a label so the teacher knows what it is for. Also, please remember when students arrive after 10 am they must have lunch choice C for that day. This is because the cook has to know by this time the number of each entree to cook.
Please continue to check our district website for resources and information. Along with our Hamilton website, which includes the calendar for the upcoming school year.
