Angela's Statement: “First and foremost, I enjoy working for Wayne-Westland because I love our students and our community. I find joy every single day that I come to work at Adams. Seeing our students grow into young adults and being a part of that process truly is so special. Without question, working with the passionate, caring, resilient, and exceptional educational professionals who belong to the Wayne-Westland Education Association is also why I enjoy working for our District. Through the WWEA, we are able to advocate for our students to ensure that Wayne-Westland Community School District upholds the highest standards of educational excellence, both in and outside of the classroom. The dedication of my colleagues is unmatched and I am proud to be a WWEA member and Wayne-Westland Community School District employee.”

Kim Markey, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent
Kim's Statement: “Working for Wayne-Westland has given me the opportunity to work collaboratively with the best professionals to have the most positive impact. Each individual I work with or come in contact with strives to do what is best for kids and pushes me to think outside the box to do the same. Wayne-Westland is a unique district that has the ability to turn the community into a family. ”
John Dignan's Statement: “Kim Markey has taken on a pivotal role to ensure the district’s success. She has employed a certain synergy in her outreach efforts to help staff, students and families. I marvel at what she does on a daily basis. Kim Markey is the rock of Wayne-Westland Schools. This quote sums Kim Markey up, “See and believe in the best in people, and help them see, believe in and pursue the best in themselves.” She makes everyone around her better on a daily basis because she leads by example. Kim Markey is everyone's "go-too". She's one of the smartest people I know and the highest compliment I can pay her is that her work ethic is second to none.”

Mike's Statement: “The reason I love working in Wayne-Westland is because of all the support my students and I receive from staff and administration. Whenever I ask for anything for my classroom or students, everyone comes together to make it happen.”
Kristen Brickey Statement: “Mike is a big dreamer and an incredibly creative and innovative educator! Students are highly motivated and engaged in his classroom due to his commitment to project based learning and STEM activities. Mike recently worked on a project with his students that went up in space to the International Space Station. Walker-Winter is lucky to have him on their team!”
