Dear Wayne-Westland Students, Staff and Families,

Weekly Letter to Students Parents and Staff

It is hard to believe that there is only a month left of school. That said, so much is going on between now and the last day of school on June 9 that we all feel we need to wear roller skates. Spring testing continues with AP Testing, spring sports are in full effect, honors awards are coming up, and the district will recognize Staff Appreciation Week next week!

We will celebrate our staff here in Wayne-Westland Community Schools in the coming week for Teacher Appreciation Week. I have been overwhelmingly impressed with this student-centered group of educators. I see them proactively supporting and celebrating your success. Please reach out to staff members that have made a difference in your child's life.

We have a comprehensive summer enrichment program for our students as we wind down the school year. Registration is now open. We offer modified transportation, breakfast and lunch for our on-site programs.

Our district, faculty and staff work closely with families to help students pursue their passions and excel academically, in the arts, career and technical areas, and athletically. We are a successful school district because we continue to discuss what it means to inspire remarkable achievement.

Thank you for your partnership with Wayne-Westland Community Schools. Have a wonderful evening and week ahead.

Sincerely,

John Dignan, Ed.D.
Superintendent
