As we celebrate Memorial Day, it’s important to take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving our country. We’re so thankful for their courage and the freedoms they’ve helped protect. We also want to thank all of the families in our school community who have served or are currently serving in the military. Your sacrifices mean so much to all of us.
Wow! What an amazing Color Run we had on Friday!! Thank you SO MUCH to all of the PTA members that helped to put this whole event on. This is one of our biggest fundraisers for the school. We had a WONDERFUL week celebrating all of our teachers at Graham! I want to personally thank the PTA for all of the wonderful lunches they provided this week! The staff LOVED them and they were so happy to not have to pack their lunch every day. It's the little things.
On Friday this week, we will have our HUSKY COLOR FUN RUN! This is a super fun event for our students, staff, and family members. Please note that students will be getting chalk on them as they run around the building. Please be sure they are wearing something that can get chalk on it so that we are not worried about something getting ruined. Old tennis shoes would be a great idea!! This event will run in the afternoon. The schedule will be posted later on in this newsletter.
Dear Graham Families,
We have noticed in the past week or so, an increase of toys, purses, and very large water bottles being brought to school. While we understand that some of these items may be special or comforting to students, they can also become very big distractions in the classroom and at lunchtime. When toys are brought to school, they are often lost, broken, or they end up going missing; so therefore we ask that they stay at home. Students that bring large water bottles will have to keep them in their backpacks because they are constantly toppling over and spilling everywhere. They are welcome to bring a smaller water bottle instead. The Stanley water bottles are much too big for their desks and they are also very top heavy. Purses must stay inside of backpack as well. We do not allow students to carry bags throughout the building for safety purposes. Thank you for working with us to create a calm, focused, and safe environment!
Springtime is in full bloom here at school and with that comes a sense of excitement amongst our students and staff! The weather is warming up (finally) and the days are getting longer. Summer will be here soon! I hope everyone was able to take some time to rest and enjoy the long holiday weekend and hopefully you were able to celebrate with some family and friends.
