Tiger Times: Happy New Year, Taft-Galloway Families!

Welcome back to "The World’s Greatest Elementary School!" We hope you had a restful and joyful winter break. As we dive into the new year and begin our second trimester, there is a noticeable energy throughout our school. We are so excited to see our students back in their classrooms, ready to grow, learn, and lead.

Athletics Kick-Off: Go Tigers!
This is a big weekend for our student-athletes! Our Boys Basketball and Cheerleading teams officially kick off their seasons this weekend.
We are so proud of the hard work these students have put in during practice. Let’s show our Tiger pride and support them as they represent Taft-Galloway. Go Tigers!

Road to Little Caesars Arena
We have a very special goal this trimester! We are beginning a fundraising campaign to sponsor our students to attend the Detroit Pistons vs. New Orleans Pelicans game on March 25.
We want to give as many Tigers as possible the chance to experience a professional game and cheer on the home team.

  • Keep an eye out: Detailed information on how you can help or participate will be coming your way shortly!

Keeping Our Den Healthy & Respectful
To ensure Taft-Galloway remains a safe and productive environment for everyone, please keep the following reminders in mind:

  • Health First: If your child is feeling unwell, running a fever, or showing symptoms of illness, please keep them home. This helps prevent the spread of germs and allows your child to recover faster so they can return to the classroom ready to learn.
  • Prompt Pick-Ups: Please ensure students are picked up on time at the end of the school day. Late pick-ups can be stressful for students and impact our staff's ability to attend meetings and prepare for the following day.
  • Parking Lot Safety: To keep our Tigers safe, please strictly follow all parking lot rules. This includes staying in designated lanes, avoiding double-parking, and remaining patient during peak drop-off and pick-up times. Our students' safety is our #1 priority!
