We are now in the final week of Quarter II, and we want to thank our students for their continued effort and growth throughout the quarter.

Final Exams – This Week

Please be reminded that final exams are scheduled for Thursday and Friday of this week.

• Thursday and Friday are both half days of school.

• Student attendance is critical on both days.

Final exams are an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning, finish their courses strong, and earn academic credit. We encourage all students to come prepared, on time, and ready to do their best.

Welcome back and Happy New Year! We are excited to begin the second half of the school year together and hope that you enjoyed a restful and joyful break. Our staff is energized and ready to continue supporting every student academically, socially, and emotionally as we move forward.

As we return, this is a great time to reset, refocus, and recommit to our goals. Let’s make these next months our strongest yet through excellent attendance, positive choices, and consistent effort in the classroom.

To our seniors, a special message to you: the clock is ticking on your senior year. Please stay mindful of due dates, graduation requirements, college and scholarship deadlines, and testing commitments. Wayne-Westland Community Schools is excited to share a new partnership with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services that brings a valuable free resource to families living in Inkster and Wayne. Through this program, residents can receive a no-cost lead inspection in their home. If any issues are found, the team will replace faucets or sinks as needed and work directly with families to address additional concerns-providing real support, not just notification. Quarter II is off to an amazing start! We’re excited to announce the relaunch of our Fun Friday/Study Hall schedule. Every other Friday, the school day will be restructured to include both a Study Hall period and a Fun Friday activity period.

Study Hall:
During Study Hall, students will receive targeted academic support and intervention in the areas where it’s most needed. This time will allow students to:

• Complete or make up assignments

• Retake examinations (where applicable)

• Receive additional help and stay on top of coursework
