Virtual Learning & Credit Recovery
As education evolves, Wayne-Westland Community Schools is committed to providing a variety of options better to suit the needs of students and families. Therefore, in addition to the traditional in-person learning, we offer the following educational pathways with an opportunity to participate in athletics and school activities.
Enrollment is now open for the 2023-2024 school year to all Wayne County residents. Non-district families must complete the Intra-County School of Choice application.
Complete Virtual Synchronous Learning (K-5th grade)
All courses are offered to kindergarten through 5th-grade students virtually with live instruction by highly qualified, certified teachers.
Complete Virtual Asynchronous Learning (6th -12th grade)
This option provides an engaging curriculum and a flexible schedule to help students maximize their learning potential. The staff works with 6-12 grade students to achieve their academic goals and provide support in all aspects of their education.
Hybrid (In-Person and Virtual) Learning (9th -12th grade)
This option offers an innovative approach to education using state-of-the-art technology and project-based learning aligned with state and national standards. The program is designed to be hybrid, offering students the ability to have in-person learning opportunities and work online at home.
Credit Recovery Learning (9th -12th grade)
Wayne-Westland Community Schools provides high school students a chance at academic success. In-person instruction occurs in a supportive learning environment.
