This Wednesday is our official Count Day #2 for the State! Our official student count, determines our funding that we receive from the State. Our funding determines our programming and staffing that we can offer at WMHS. Please make sure to be at school AND attend every one of your classes on our Count Day this coming Wednesday! We need every WMHS Scholar at school and in every class on this day! This is very, very important!

As our winter sports teams regular seasons come to an end, the MHSAA State Tournaments kick in. This tends to be a very busy time of year for us as we are organizing and attending multiple events a week. Excited and ready to go! Good luck to all of our Zebra's about to make a run and leave your legacy at WMHS!

And just like that.... it's February! The 3rd Quarter will move right along. It is imperative that you are at school everyday, locked in on getting your education. Be here. Be focused. Be GREAT!

It's officially Black History Month. Black History Month:It begins February 1 and ends March 1. Black History Month has been celebrated for more than 100 years. You will see signs around WMHS and our staff implementing lessons throughout the month to honor Black History Month.

For all of our WMHS Alumni, Staff, and Students, we have brought back the 'Zebra Print' (in an electronic format - see below). Ms. Hannah Reed at WMHS is overseeing this - meeting with students, guiding them on their themes, and articles. The Zebra Print is will be done on a monthly basis and linked into this Sunday Communication. It is written by students, for students.

We will now complete the 1st Semester this week. Tuesday will be a half day of school for 5th and 6th Hour Exams. I hope that everyone is ending the first semester on a positive note and that you finish up strong.

Exam Week:

1/14: Half Day. Exams for 1st and 2nd Hour
1/15: Half Day. Exams for 3rd ad 4th Hour
1/16: Half Day. Exams for 5th and 6th Hour
1/16: End of traditional 2nd Quarter. End of 1st Semester
1/16: Student 2nd Semester Schedules should be visible after 12pm
*1/19: No School. MLK Jr Day
*1/20: Day 1 of the 2nd Semester
