Principals and teachers will send information with specific testing dates and times for students. If you have any questions or need more information about the state assessments, please contact your child's school. You can also visit the Michigan Department of Education's website.
NOTE: Virtual students will receive a separate communication from their teacher and administrator.
While state assessments can seem daunting, it is essential that students are present on testing days and prepared mentally and physically. Therefore, leading up to testing days, I encourage you to continue with a routine that includes eating healthy snacks and getting a good night's rest while also completing practice tests found on the State of Michigan's website. This will ensure students are well-rested, relaxed and confident heading into testing.
State assessments are an important aspect of your child's education - they create a snapshot of student development and provide our District with valuable information on academic progress. State assessments also allow us to evaluate curriculum and programming and make changes to best support student growth.
