Happy Mother's Day to all moms. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Thank you for all that you do to support not only your children but also our District. 

As we near the end of the school year, there is a lot of information to share with you.

Everyone Can Ride
The District's Special Education Parent Advisory Committee is hosting the Program to Education All Cyclists (PEAC). They will present their Everyone Can Ride program that speaks to safe and affordable transportation options for everyone, regardless of ability.  

Important Information on Pandemic EBT Program
Please read the information for parents or guardians of students eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch and who were not able to get meals due to COVID

Steering Committee Application
Walker-Winter Elementary School was scheduled to close at the end of the 2021-22 school year. Instead, it will continue as a traditional K-5 elementary school for the 2022-23 school year. The District is forming a Steering Committee to develop a plan for the future of Walker-Winter for the 23-24 school year and beyond. These plans may include developing a magnet school or closing the building. If you would like to be considered for the committee, please complete this application by May 15, 2022.

Summer Programs
Wayne-Westland Community Schools has over 25 FREE summer programs to keep your child engaged! Please submit one registration form for each child. You will receive an email confirmation that your registration form has been received. Programs have limited enrollment; first come, first served.

5th GradeTransiton Nights
Fifth-grade students and their families are invited to attend 5th Grade Transition Nights at the middle school they will attend next year. Please read this flyer for more information.

Student and Family Resources
Wayne-Westland Community Schools has a variety of partners and programs to assist students with academic, social, emotional and mental health needs.
