Dear Wayne-Westland Community Students, Staff and Families,
The District received some exciting news earlier this week. John Glenn High School was awarded a grant for a School-Based Health Clinic (SBHC). The Beaumont School Based Health Clinic will open in the spring of 2023 and serve Wayne-Westland Community Schools students and their siblings. The health clinic will provide medical and mental health services for students. Beaumont Hospital is committed to providing quality health care for the under-insured and the uninsured. By providing access to high-quality healthcare, education and training, we will ensure a continuum of care exists that will improve the health status of the children and families in Wayne-Westland Community Schools.
This is also an exciting time of the school year. There are a lot of celebrations, activities and events scheduled for these last four weeks of the school year. Please check the District calendar and your child's school calendar to stay updated.

COVID-19 Screening
We have seen an uptick in COVID-19 cases in the District in the past few weeks. Please help us reduce the spread by reminding your children to:
- Wash their hands frequently
- Cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
- Get tested if exposed or suspected exposure
- When sick, stay home. Continue to do daily screenings before your child comes to school.
We still need to remain informed about household illnesses, positive COVID-19 cases, and exposures. Please contact your school's main office to report any illness.
