Hello Hamilton Families!

Important dates:

  • October 31 ½ day dismissal 12:20
    • Halloween Parade 10:30 (it will be inside if it rains)
  • November 1 Be Brave-Wear Red day
  • November 2-4 Mobile Dentists
  • November 8- No School for students

Happy Halloween!!  I am excited for our parade on Monday!  We will parade starting at 10:30.  Students will parade inside or out depending on the weather.  If it is raining parents will be invited to watch the parade from the lunchroom where the students will parade across the stage.  If the weather is dry we will parade outside and parents are invited to stand outside on the grass side of the sidewalk.  Please do not stand between the building and sidewalk as we will have students standing there before they join the parade.  Teachers will lead the parade around the whole building so everyone can see the students!  Because of the wonderful donations students will have 18 candy stations they will stop at to collect candy!  Please remember no weapons of any kind.  Parents and family members are welcome to watch the parade but may not walk in or with the parade.  Thank you in advance for your understanding and support with this!

Friday your child should have brought home a progress report.  Take a few minutes to look it over, celebrate the successes and make a plan to support the areas of weakness.  December 6th and 8th we will have parent teacher conferences and you can further discuss your child's achievements then.

Please remember that when dropping off or picking up your child you may not walk to the classroom.  If you have an item or items that need to be dropped off, they must be left in the office and the teacher will pick them up.  If your child needs assistance getting to or from the classroom we have staff that will help with that.  Please understand that we do this for the safety of our students and staff and greatly appreciate your support and cooperation with this procedure.

Please continue to check our district website for resources and information. Along with our Hamilton website, which includes the calendar for the upcoming school year.

You can also follow the Wayne Westland Community School page on Facebook for updates and information too!

Thank you for your continued support!

Make it a great week!
