Arriving On Time Matters
Being on time to school and to every class sets the tone for learning. Arriving late not only disrupts instruction but also creates gaps in learning. Please make it a priority to be on time each day and move promptly to your assigned classes.

Welcome to a brand-new school year at Wayne-Westland Innovative Academy! I hope you had a wonderful summer filled with rest, fun, and time with family and friends. As we begin the2025–2026 school year, I want to share how proud we are of what our students accomplished last year and what exciting opportunities lie ahead.

Due to the exhaustion of snow/inclement weather days, an additional instructional day has been added to the WWIA calendar for the 2024/2025 school year. WWIA had 7 days, due to the two days we had in August due to lack of power, and the state only allows 6 days.   As a result, Thursday, June 12, 2025, will now serve as a record-keeping day to meet state requirements.

Here's what WWIA will be doing to comply with the expectation to count June 12th as an instructional day.

• Student Attendance: This Applies to ALL Students, Except Graduating Seniors

  1. Students will be required to complete a Google Form on June 12 for attendance purposes.  This form will be emailed to at 6am on June 12th

• Optional Google Meet:

  1.  Students may join a Google Meet if they have any questions or need support. 

  2. Google Meet link will be sent within the next few days

As the school year comes to a close, we’re proud of the hard work and perseverance our students and staff continue to show—especially our seniors who are making their final push toward graduation. Keep showing up, meeting deadlines, and finishing strong!
