Welcome to a brand-new school year at Wayne-Westland Innovative Academy! I hope you had a wonderful summer filled with rest, fun, and time with family and friends. As we begin the2025–2026 school year, I want to share how proud we are of what our students accomplished last year and what exciting opportunities lie ahead.
Last school year, we celebrated an amazing milestone with 175 students earning their high school diploma! Each diploma represented more than just a piece of paper; it reflected hard work, determination, and the support of families, teachers, and the entire WWIA community. We are so proud of our graduates and look forward to seeing even more students achieve this goal in the years to come.
As we start this year together, our focus remains on helping every student succeed. Some of our priorities for the year include:
- Helping students thrive in school by improving attendance and providing strong academic and social-emotional support. When students feel safe, supported, and encouraged, they are more likely to succeed.
- Strengthening our PBIS C.A.R.E.S. Program, which stands for Community,Accountability, Respect, and Empathy, while also ensuring Safety for all. These values guide how we treat one another and build a positive, welcoming school culture.
- Preparing students for the future by increasing opportunities for college, skilled trades, certifications, and career pathways. We want every student to leave WWIA with a clear plan and the confidence to achieve their dreams.
Wayne-Westland Innovative Academy is more than just a school, it’s a community where students are encouraged to dream big, work hard, and believe in themselves. We are excited to partner with you to make this school year our best one yet.
