We had another great week here at Graham!
This week, our students and staff practiced our emergency evacuation drill, and everyone did an amazing job! This is a new safety requirement across the district, and I was so proud of how smoothly it went. Our entire building worked together to make it a huge success—way to go, Huskies!

NEWSLETTER: Husky Happenings - October 10, 2025

I want to assure all of you that, despite what is happening in Lansing and Washington, D.C., regarding both budgets. As you likely know, the state Legislature passed a Continuation Budget that will keep the state government open through October 8, 2025. Meanwhile, in Washington, D.C., lawmakers failed to reach a budget deal, and a federal shutdown is now in effect. While this means our funding remains in question, the Board of Education and district leaders thoughtfully allocated resources so there would be no disruption for our students.

What a great start to the school year! I have enjoyed visiting our schools and seeing our students engaged, motivated, and learning every day. It’s inspiring to see the energy, enthusiasm, and dedication demonstrated by our students and staff. Great things are happening across our district.

The safety of our students and school communities is always our top priority. One important way to help keep children and teens safe is by practicing safe firearm storage. To help protect Michigan families-especially children-from firearm-related tragedies, a state law requiring secure storage of firearms went into effect on February 13, 2024.
