Dear Ford Career Tech Students and Families,
Welcome to a new school year at the William D. Ford Career Technical Center!
It is an honor and a privilege to introduce myself as your new Principal/Director. My name is Deena Pringle, and I am incredibly excited to begin this journey alongside our students, families, staff, and community partners. I look forward to building strong relationships, celebrating student success, and continuing the proud tradition of preparing students for college, careers, and life beyond high school.
At Ford Career Tech, students have the opportunity to turn their interests and talents into meaningful career pathways. Through rigorous classroom instruction, hands-on learning, industry-recognized credentials, leadership opportunities, and work-based learning experiences, our students develop both the technical and employability skills needed to succeed in today's workforce.
Our vision remains focused on empowering students to advocate for their career path of choice through the opportunities provided by credentials and industry experiences. I encourage every student to approach this year with curiosity, confidence, and a willingness to take advantage of all that Career Tech has to offer.
A New Way to Stay Connected - ClassDojo
Strong communication and partnership with families are essential to student success. This year, we are excited to launch ClassDojo as our new school communication platform for families.
ClassDojo will allow us to provide regular Career Tech updates, important reminders, announcements, celebrations, and other information to help families stay connected to what is happening at Ford Career Tech.
Invitations to join ClassDojo will be sent on August 21. We strongly encourage every family to accept the invitation and join our ClassDojo community so you do not miss important information throughout the school year.
Please be on the lookout for your invitation and make joining ClassDojo one of your first back-to-school tasks!
Attendance Matters
Regular attendance is especially important in Career and Technical Education. Much of what students learn happens through hands-on instruction, real-world applications, labs, projects, and industry-based experiences that can be difficult to recreate when a student is absent. Being present pursue their goals.
Thank you for choosing William D. Ford Career Technical Center and for trusting us to be part of your student's educational journey. I am looking forward to meeting you, working together, and making the 2026-2027 school year an outstanding one.
Welcome back, Ford Career Tech! I cannot wait to see all that we accomplish together.
