Quarter II is off to an amazing start! We’re excited to announce the relaunch of our Fun Friday/Study Hall schedule. Every other Friday, the school day will be restructured to include both a Study Hall period and a Fun Friday activity period.

Study Hall:
During Study Hall, students will receive targeted academic support and intervention in the areas where it’s most needed. This time will allow students to:

• Complete or make up assignments

• Retake examinations (where applicable)

• Receive additional help and stay on top of coursework

Dear Wayne-Westland Families,

Since I started here in July, I have been so impressed with all the wonderful opportunities Wayne-Westland students have. At times, however, I heard families say, “We never knew.” I can easily see how that can happen (to no one’s fault) as everyone is so busy and pulled in so many directions.

We would like to bring to your attention a phishing email that many students have recently received through their district email accounts. Unfortunately, some student accounts were compromised, and as a result, phishing emails have been circulating across the district.

We understand that many of our families may be impacted by the temporary shutdown of the SNAP program in November. Please know that Wayne-Westland Community Schools is here to support you during this time.

Cruise through a festive street full of glowing skeletons, creative decorations, and Halloween surprises—all while helping raise funds for the brave kids at Corewell Children’s Hospital in Royal Oak. Let’s Light Up the Night with kindness, community, and a little spooky fun—for the kids!
