Attendance Information Half Day of School Thanksgiving Break Parent Teacher Conferences

Due to the exhaustion of snow/inclement weather days, an additional instructional day has been added to the WWIA calendar for the 2024/2025 school year. WWIA had 7 days, due to the two days we had in August due to lack of power, and the state only allows 6 days.   As a result, Thursday, June 12, 2025, will now serve as a record-keeping day to meet state requirements.

Here's what WWIA will be doing to comply with the expectation to count June 12th as an instructional day.

• Student Attendance: This Applies to ALL Students, Except Graduating Seniors

  1. Students will be required to complete a Google Form on June 12 for attendance purposes.  This form will be emailed to at 6am on June 12th

• Optional Google Meet:

  1.  Students may join a Google Meet if they have any questions or need support. 

  2. Google Meet link will be sent within the next few days

NWEA Testing – Begins Next Week

Students, please come prepared and give your best effort. These assessments are an important measure of your growth this year.

Parent-Teacher Conferences – Thursday, May 1, 2025
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
This is a valuable opportunity to connect with teachers, discuss student progress, and set clear goals for the remainder of the school year. We strongly encourage all families to attend.

Attention Seniors – Finish Strong!
Seniors, it is critical that you are meeting all graduation requirements. Please be sure to meet with your counselor immediately if you have not already done so.

Important Dates for Seniors:

• Last Day for In-Person Classes: Thursday, May 29, 2025

We are pleased to announce that our venue, date, and time for graduation has changed. To accommodate our graduates and their families, we have moved our graduation ceremony to Eastern Michigan University's "GameAbove Center" This is the main event space for Eastern Michigan University. The doors for event will open at 4:30 pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 pm. Tickets are not required for the event. Please let us know if there are any questions.
