MDHHS Safe Storage Information

Beginning October 1, 2025, and every October 1 thereafter, all public schools must distribute a state-approved Safe Storage Notice annually to the parents or legal guardians of each enrolled student (as required by HB 5451 / MCL 380.1313b).  To learn more, please read the What is the Secure Storage Law in Michigan Document provided by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).
