EMU Education First Opportunity Scholarship (EFOS)

Eastern Michigan UniversityFREE TUITION FOR ELIGIBLE WAYNE-WESTLAND STUDENTS!

Eligible first-year students have the opportunity to attend Eastern tuition free! If you are Pell Grant eligible and have at least a 3.0 GPA, the EFOS will cover your full tuition.

To qualify for the Education First Opportunity Scholarship (EFOS), there are two criteria that must be met:

  • High School GPA of 3.0 or Higher
  • Qualify for a Federal Pell Grant (Qualify for the Pell Grant by filing the FAFSA)

Lawrence Technological University: Blue Devil Wayne-Westland Scholars Program

The Blue Devil Wayne-Westland Scholars program will provide scholarships to 50 Wayne-Westland students from the district’s two high schools, John Glenn High School and Wayne Memorial High School, as well as our William D. Ford Career-Technical Center. Each scholarship is worth $80,000.

Michigan Achievement Scholarship - MI Student AidMichigan Achievement Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

 

  • File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Earn a high school diploma or certificate of completion in 2023 or later in Michigan.
  • For Academic Year 2024-25, have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of $30,000 or less.
    • 2023-24 students, have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $25,000 or less.
  • Enroll full-time at an eligible Michigan institution within 15 months of completing high school.
