SXI Preschool Program
Wayne Westland Community Schools offer a SXI Preschool Program designed for students with severe multiple impairments. This involves severe cognitive impairment, as well as any combination of the following: hearing, visual, physical, or health impairment.
Transition
To ease anxiety when moving from preschool special education to kindergarten, we highly encourage and facilitate visits to your neighborhood elementary school. This can be achieved through playing on the playground after hours, attending Kindergarten Round Up, and attending meetings scheduled at the new school. Together, we will make these life experiences positive for the student and her/his parents.
