Hello William D. Ford Career-Technical Center Students, Families, and Staff,
At FordCTC, our Seniors are starting to make final decisions regarding what they will be doing next year. College, military, apprenticeship, trade school, and straight to workforce are some of the choices I have already heard students discussing with our teachers, coordinators, and counselors.
With this in mind, it is important to be planning for the fiscal requirements some of these choices involve. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid window is now open! This year, access to the form requires two-factor authorization. While this is an important step to ensure safety in records collection, completing the FAFSA may be a little more challenging than in previous years. The National College Attainment Network is providing resources to help. Additionally, Eastern Michigan University is offering a FAFSA support webinar on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 6pm.

Dear Career Tech Students and Families,
On April 8th, a total solar eclipse will occur over William D. Ford Career-Technical Center, causing the skies to darken and transform the day into night. According to scientists, the sun disappears during an eclipse because it aligns perfectly with the moon at the right angle and distance. Although there are very few things that are perfect in life, this scene may seem magical or ominous to many.
With spring break upon us, it's a perfect time to reflect on our journey so far and look ahead to the final stretch of the school year. This is such an important time where we can really shine by working hard, being dedicated, and staying focused on our goals.
Spring break is a chance to recharge, spend time with loved ones, and do things that bring us joy, happiness and fulfillment. Whether you're planning a vacation or staying home, make sure you take the time to relax and enjoy yourself.
